But this story about a young woman who just can't put up with any more of the trouble brings out Billy's tear-the-roof-off, never-stop-rockin' side.

Cross By The Road brings Bill Hall back to his roots, small town roots outside of Springfield, Missouri, in a song about "riding down country roads" --- but this is a different kind of road song. The track is uptempo and hard-driving, which makes the simple, strong vocal just that much more compelling.
